Bio

Ginny has been competing in dogs sports for over 30 years including obedience, tracking, agility, and skijoring, earning numerous titles on different breeds including a Saluki, Golden Retriever, Springer Spaniel, Belgian Tervurens, and a Pyrenean Shepherd. In 2016 she discovered Nose Work and attended 2 week-long camps with the founders of the sport. She then traveled to Columbia, Maryland to attend the Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) course learning the K9 Nose Work® teaching method. After a year of training she earned her CNWI certification. Since then she has also become an AKC Scent Work judge, a NACSW ORT judge, and a member of the Dog Tracking Club of Maine. Her focus is using scent work not only as a competitive sport but also for a dog’s mental enrichment, increased confidence, and reducing anxiety. In the words of Nose Work founder Ron Gaunt, “I enjoy helping people discover how amazing their dogs really are.”
